Dutch State Visit to Czech Republic - Day 2
On Thursday, Queen Maxima spent her second day in the Czech Republic as she and King Willem-Alexander were undertaking a state visit to the country. King Willem-Alexander couldn’t attend the second day of the state visit as he had to fly back to the Netherlands due to the political situation in the country.
Queen Maxima first joined the Presidential Couple visited St. Salvator's Church where a new church bell was unveiled and blessed. The Dutch bell foundry Royal Eijsbouts cast a new bell using Russian weapons material that was used in the war in Ukraine.
Afterward, Queen Maxima and the Presidential Couple met with the staff of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty and other media companies based in the Eastern European region to discuss the importance of independent media in the fight against disinformation.
In the afternoon, Queen Maxima and the Presidential Couple visited the High Tech Campus Dolní Břežany, which houses companies, start-ups, and research facilities in the field of laser and biotechnology.
Queen Maxima then hosted a reception for the Dutch community living in the Czech Republic.
In the evening, Queen Maxima hosted a return reception for the Presidential Couple at the Estates Theatre to thank them for their hospitality. The evening featured a performance by the Dutch National Ballet, which performed a work by the Czech-Dutch choreographer Jiří Kylián.
Queen Maxima first wore her Natan Couture dress with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and her Santesteban clutch. She also wore her Patek Philippe watch.
In the evening, Queen Maxima wore her Valentino Couture floral gown with her Aquazzura sandals and her VBH clutch.
