The Duchess of Edinburgh visits Bosnia and Herzegovina - Day 2

On Friday, the Duchess of Edinburgh spent her second day in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She first attended the Commemoration of the 30th Anniversary of the Srebrenica Genocide. During the ceremony, the Duchess of Edinburgh read a message from the King.

Afterward, the Duchess of Edinburgh toured the Srebrenica Memorial Centre where the ceremony was held. She visited the UK-funded exhibition, “In the footsteps of those who have (not) crossed”, which displays the personal belongings of people who were killed by Bosnian Serb forces in July 1995, as well as items owned by people who survived.

The Duchess of Edinburgh also visited the memorial cemetery to pay tribute to seven Muslim victims whose remains have been identified and are being buried on the anniversary as well as to lay a flower in front of the Memorial to all the victims.

She then met with representatives of the ‘Mothers of the Enclaves of Srebrenica and Žepa’ to hear about their efforts to heal the wounds of war and ensure justice is done.

In the evening, the Duchess of Edinburgh met with several religious leaders to hear about their work building bridges of trust and reconciliation between different communities.

The Duchess of Edinburgh first wore a Raishma dress (with thanks to RoyalBritishFashion) with her Max Mara blazer, her LK Bennett wedges, and her Sophie Habsburg clutch. She paired the outfit with her Adore Jewels earrings, bracelets by Asprey London and Giulia Barela, and her G. Collins and Sons ring.

The Duchess of Edinburgh then wore a MATELIER dress with her LK Bennett wedges and her Sophie Habsburg clutch. She paired the outfit with the same jewels as earlier in the day.
