Queen Silvia attends Children's Peace Conference

On Wednesday, Queen Silvia attended the Children's Peace Conference hosted by the National Knowledge Centre for Child Welfare at Linköping University.

In her speech, Queen Silvia said: “When we talk about protecting children, we must also listen to them. Children’s own experiences and perspectives are crucial to understanding their needs and developing solutions that work. Giving children the opportunity to express themselves is not only a right under the Convention on the Rights of the Child, but a prerequisite for the quality and success of our work. When children are involved in the design of interventions, both their safety and our ability to prevent violence and abuse are strengthened.”
