Spanish State Visit to Finland - Day 3

On Wednesday, King Felipe and Queen Letizia spent their third day in Finland. King Felipe and Queen Letizia first laid a wreath at the Heroes' Cross and the grave of Marshal Mannerheim at the Hietaniemi Cemetery in Helsinki.

Afterward, the Royal Couple and the Presidential Couple inaugurated the exhibition “Echoes of Aalto in Contemporary Spanish Architecture” in Finlandia Hall. The exhibition highlights Alvar Aalto’s influence on generations of Spanish architects and the presence of Spanish architecture in Finland.

They then traveled to Rovaniemi in the Lapland region, where they visited Arktikum, the Arctic Science Centre, and the Regional Museum of Lapland to see the exhibitions "Contrasts of the Arctic" and "Northern Ways," and met with Rovaniemi authorities and representatives of the Sami community.

Afterward, the Royal Couple and the Presidential Couple attended the closing of the seminar “Building Bridges Across Europe’s Borders: Security and Cooperation from the Arctic to the Mediterranean and the Construction of Europe’s International Capacity” at the University of Lapland.

Queen Letizia wore a suit by Finnish brand Andiata with her Magrit pumps and a JW PEI bag. She also wore a Max Mara coat. She paired the outfit with her Coreterno and Karen Hallam rings. In the afternoon, she changed into Angel Alarcon boots.
