Queen Sofia receives Loro Parque Foundation's Gorilla Prize
On Thursday, Queen Sofia received the Loro Parque Foundation's Gorilla Prize at the Poema del Mar Aquarium in Las Palmas.
Queen Sofia received the award in recognition of her exemplary and sustained commitment to the conservation of biodiversity, animal welfare, and the protection of natural heritage. The Queen Sofia Foundation, in collaboration with the Community of Madrid, is developing a project to build an Animal Protection Center for the collection and care of abandoned animals.
Queen Sofia wore an Escada coat with black trousers and her Carolina Herrera bag.
