The Prince and Princess of Wales visit Powys ahead of St David’s Day
On Thursday, the Prince and Princess of Wales visited Powys, Wales, ahead of St David’s Day.
They first visited The Hanging Gardens, a space dedicated to nurturing community resilience and creativity in Llanidloes and its surrounding area. They spent time with volunteers to hear more about the center and joined their workshops for preparations for St David’s Day.
Afterward, the Prince and Princess of Wales visited Oriel Davies, a public contemporary art gallery in Newton. They saw a project funded by the Alexandra Reinhardt Memorial Award, focused on supporting the well-being of the children and young people in the local area. They also took part in one of the regular creative workshop which aimed to encourage social connections and build confidence.
The Prince and Princess of Wales also visited Hafan yr Afon, a hub for culture, community, and heritage in Newton. The hub is run by Open Newtown, a community land trust and social enterprise. They joined a celebration of volunteer groups and community champions in Powys, during which they met volunteers and community groups from across the region.
The Princess of Wales wore her Alexander McQueen coat with her ME and EM top and her CO skirt. She paired the outfit with her Gianvito Rossi pumps. She also wore her Kiki McDonough earrings.
