The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visit Jordan - Day 2
On Thursday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent their second day in Jordan with the World Health Organization.
They first visited World Central Kitchen’s regional headquarters in Amman to meet with the teams coordinating convoys, community kitchens, mobile bakeries, and clean-water distribution in Gaza. They also took part in a call with World Central Kitchen staff cooking on the ground in Gaza.
Afterward, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited the National Center for Rehabilitation of Addicts to hear about how WHO-supported mental health services are supporting men and women in treatment and in recovery.
They then visited the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD) where they met with Princess Basma bint Talal and community leaders to lean more about the “Mujaawarah” model of good neighbouring, social cohesion, and women-led advocacy.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex concluded their visit to Jordan at the King Hussein Cancer Center. They met with Princess Ghida Talal to hear more about WHO-supported efforts to strengthen access to treatment for children and families travelling for care.
