Crown Princess Marie-Chantal visits Rwanda
This past week, Crown Princess Marie-Chantal visited Rwanda in her role as Co-Chair of USA for UNHCR’s Building Better Futures campaign. She was joined by her son Prince Constantine-Alexios.
They visited the Mahama Refugee Camp to meet with women and young people rebuilding their lives and supporting each other.
Crown Princess Marie-Chantal and Prince Constantine-Alexios also visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial to pay tribute to the victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi. They also toured the museum’s exhibits to learn more about the history and legacy of this genocide.
On February 26th, Crown Princess Marie-Chantal met with the First Lady of Rwanda, Jeannette Kagame, to discuss the work of the First Lady’s Imbuto Foundation in expanding access to quality services and information in health, education, and youth talent development.
Crown Princess Marie-Chantal also met with Minister Albert Murasira, the Minister for Emergency Management.
At the Mahama Refugee Camp, Crown Princess Marie-Chantal wore a white shirt with khaki trousers, Adidas shoes, and her Oliver’s People sunglasses.
At the Crown Princess Marie-Chantal wore a Prada jacket with jeans and her Adidas shoes.
On February 26th, Crown Princess Marie-Chantal wore a Max Mara blazer with white trousers, Alaïa flats, and a bag by MADE51, a brand supported by UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency.
