Belgian State Visit to Norway - Day 2
On Wednesday, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde spent their second day in Norway.
In the morning, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde were joined by Crown Prince Haakon at the Nobel Peace Center where they attended a meeting with experts on enhancing the protection of civilians in armed conflicts.
Afterward, the Royal Couple and Crown Prince Haakon visited the installation vessel The Norse Wind at Søndre Akershuskai in Oslo. The vessel was acquired by Belgian-based company DEME Group following the takeover of the Norwegian company Havfram in 2025.
They also attended a roundtable seminar on offshore wind at the Oslo Opera House to learn more about how academics, entrepreneurs, and policymakers from Belgium and Norway work closely together to maximize the potential of renewable energy in the North Sea.
The Royal Couple also attended a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister, Jonas Gahr Støre, at the Government Guest House
King Philippe and Queen Mathilde then attended an official lunch hosted by the Government at Akershus Palace. King Harald, Queen Sonja, and Crown Prince Haakon were also in attendance.
In the afternoon, King Philippe, Queen Mathilde, Queen Sonja, and Crown Prince Haakon took part in a reading session at the Deichman Library to promote literacy and the joy of reading among young people.
In the evening, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde were joined by Queen Sonja as they received a guided tour of the National Museum.
Afterward, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde hosted a concert at the National Museum to thank King Harald, Queen Sonja, and Crown Prince Haakon for their hospitality.
Queen Mathilde first wore her Natan Couture outfit with her Christian Dior pumps and her Voort Studio bag. She paired the outfit with her Fabienne Delvigne headband, her Nunu BCN earrings, and a Fahoma brooch (with thanks to GardeRobeRoyale).
Queen Sonja first wore her Emilio Pucci dress with her Eliot Zed pumps and her Salvatore Ferragamo clutch.
In the afternoon, Queen Sonja wore an Apostrophe outfit with her Stuart Weitzman ankle boots.
In the evening, Queen Mathilde wore her Christian Dior gown with her Christian Dior pumps and her Christian Dior bag.
Queen Sonja wore her Elie Saab top with black trousers, black ankle boots, and her Christian Dior bag.
