King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima visit the United States - Day 1

On Monday, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima started a three-day official visit to the United States. They were officially welcomed to Philadelphia by the Governor of Pennsylvania, Josh Shapiro, and First Lady Lori Shapiro.

The Royal Couple was given a tour of Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the US and the Dutch role in its independence.

Afterward, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima joined a CEO roundtable to discuss trade opportunities in Pennsylvania before attending a networking reception.

In the afternoon, they visited the Kensington Creative & Performing Arts High School in Fishtown with Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker.

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima also toured the training facilities of the American Football club Philadelphia Eagles where they met with staff and athletes to discuss innovation in sports. The visit also highlighted Curaçao's participation in the 2026 World Cup at the Eagles' stadium, Lincoln Financial Field.

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima then traveled to Washington, D.C. where they first attended a networking reception held at the US Chamber of Commerce.

The Royal Couple then attended a dinner hosted by President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump at the White House.

Queen Maxima first wore her Claes Iversen dress with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and her Bottega Veneta clutch. She also wore her Patek Philippe watch.

In Washington D.C., Queen Maxima wore an orange dress with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and her Patek Philippe watch.
