Dutch State Visit to Slovakia - Day 2
On Wednesday, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima spent their second day in Slovakia where they are making a State Visit.
They first attended an event marking International Women’s Day with young Slovaks to discuss gender equality and empowering women.
Afterward, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima, and President Čaputová attended the ‘The Future is Now’ business forum.
The Royal Couple and President Čaputová then saw a collection point for PET bottles and cans. The deposit system is based on innovative software technology with advice from Dutch companies.
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima also attended a lunch hosted by Prime Minister Eduard Heger.
In the afternoon, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima visited the LGBTIQ+ bar Tepláreň, where two people were shot dead in October 2022 because of their sexual orientation. They had the opportunity to meet with the relatives of the victims and a survivor of the attack.
The Royal Couple then hosted a reception for the Dutch community living in the country.
In the evening, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima hosted a return reception for President Čaputová and her partner at the Slovak National Theatre.
Queen Maxima first wore her Natan cape with a printed dress, her Gianvito Rossi pumps, and her Chanel bag. She also wore her Philip Treacy hat and her Patek Philippe watch.
In the evening, Queen Maxima wore her Claes Iversen dress with her Salvatore Ferragamo pumps and her Bottega Veneta clutch.
