The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visit Australia - Day 1

On Tuesday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex started an official visit to Australia, attending engagements in Melbourne.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex first visited the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne to spend time with patients and families. They also visited the Kelpie ward and its garden where patients grow herbs and vegetables for the hospital’s kitchen as part of RCH’s Therapeutic Garden Program.

Afterward, the Duchess of Sussex visited McAuley Community Services for Women, an organization supporting women and children in vulnerable situations. The Duchess of Sussex helped serve a meal and spent time with women supported by the organization before meeting with Micaela Cronin, Australia’s inaugural Commissioner for Domestic, Family, and Sexual Violence.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also visited the Australian National Veterans Arts Museum to spend time with veterans and their families. They heard more about the Museum’s creative programs and the role creativity can play in recovery and community building.

The Duchess of Sussex first wore a Karen Gee dress with her Christian Dior pumps. She paired the outfit with Real Fine Studio earrings (with thanks to WhatMeghanWore) and her Cartier bracelet.
