Spanish Royals Attend the Princess of Girona Awards 2026
On Tuesday evening, King Felipe, Queen Letizia, Princess Leonor, and Infanta Sofia attended the 2026 Princess of Girona Foundation Awards in Barcelona. The awards celebrate young people who lead projects and initiatives with a clear commitment to bringing about change in our society through cooperation and effort.
During the ceremony, Princess Leonor handed out the awards to the 2026 winners. They are Gemma Blasco (Arts and Literature), Patricia Aymà (Business), Hatim Azahri Akhnous (Social), Rafael Luque (Scientific Research), Mercedes Bidart (International Business) and José Eduardo Méndez Delgado (International Research).
For the awards ceremony, Queen Letizia wore a Carolina Herrera embroidered cropped top with black trousers.
Princess Leonor wore a suit from Bleis Madrid.
Infanta Sofia wore a matching set from Momonï.
