King Felipe and Queen Letizia spend the day in Sevilla

Today, King Felipe and Queen Letizia are in Sevilla to preside over the III Plenary meeting of the National Commission for the commemoration of the fifth Centenary of the expedition of the first round the world trip of Fernando de Magallanes and Juan Sebastián Elcano.

During the meeting, the reports on the development of the Commemoration, the contribution of the Ministry of Defense to the fifth Centenary, the Strategic Communication Plan and the Official Program and on the International Strategy and its implementation were presented.

Afterward, King Felipe and Queen Letizia went to the General Archive of the Indies to open the exhibition "The Longest Journey”. The exhibition shows the first trip round the world and the importance of "travel" for the evolution of man.

Letizia wore a fully repeated outfit today. She wore her Pedro del Hierro midi dress which she paired with her Carolina Herrera slingback camel suede pumps and her Carolina Herrera ‘Camelot’ bag. She wore diamond and pearls earrings and her Karen Hallam signature ring.
