King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima attend Prinsjesdag

Today, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima attended Prinsjesdag 2019 alongside Prince Constantjin and Princess Laurentien. During Prinsjesdag, King Willem-Alexander reads the ‘Speech from the Throne’, written jointly by the Ministers and Secretaries of State. This speech outlines the government’s financial plans for the coming year. Following the ceremony at the Dutch Parliament, the royal family appears on the balcony of the Royal Palace to greet the crowd.

Maxima wore a new stunning cape gown from Jan Taminiau which she paired with a burgundy Philip Treacy hat.
