The Duchess of Cambridge hosts Place2Be reception at Buckingham Palace
Tonight, the Duchess of Cambridge hosted a reception for Place2Be for its 25th anniversary at Buckingham Palace. The Duchess of Cambridge is Patron of Place2Be since 2013. Place2Be provides emotional support at an early age and believes no child should face mental health difficulties alone.
During the reception, the Duchess of Cambridge met two school choirs who performed at the event as well as Place2Be supporters. The reception also featured a song about self-esteem, creativity and their wellbeing created by pupils from New North Academy and Salusbury School with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
As Patron, the Duchess of Cambridge also made a speech where she said: “Place2Be was one of the first charities I became Patron of. I knew it was special then, but having spent many years since learning about the importance of childhood development, I see even more the value in the work that you do and I am hugely grateful for all that you have taught me over the past seven years.
Kate wore her Jenny Packham blue embellished gown which she first wore in India with the matching clutch. She paired the gown with her Jimmy Choo Romy pumps and new earrings by Erdem (with thanks to @EmadKiriah).
