Regal Review: The Wedding of Princess Madeleine and Chris O'Neill

Seven years ago, Princess Madeleine married Chris O’Neill at the Royal Palace chapel in Stockholm. Let’s take back a look at the bride and guests’s fashion!

After their wedding, the newlywed couple greeted the crowds waiting in front of the royal palace.

While their guests were traveling to Drottningholm Palace where the reception would take place, Madeleine and Chris took part in a procession in the streets of Stockholm before joining their guests.

Princess Madeleine wore a Valentino wedding gown. It was made in pleated silk organza with applications of ivory colored Chantilly lace. The upper part of life is at the forefront with a deep back. From the emphasized waist, vertical small creases open over the wide skirt which ends with a four-meter long trailer. She also wore Oscar de la Renta white pumps. She wore the Modern Fringe tiara and the Vasa earrings.

Queen Silvia wore a light green embellished gown with matching accessories with the Nine Prong Tiara.

Crown Princess Victoria wore a Fadi El Khoury short sleeve silk organza gown with Princess Lilian’s Laurel Wreath Tiara.

Princess Sofia wore a lilac custom made gown by Thalia with her Tiger of Sweden pumps, Thalia clutch and Maria Nilsdotter jewels.

Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore a bespoke tiered blue Emilio Pucci gown with her Gianvito Rossi pink sandals and Kotur clutch. She wore the Amethyst Necklace Tiara.

Princess Martha Louise wore a purple off the shoulder embroidered gown with her Gina peep-toe pumps. She wore the smaller version of Queen Maud's Pearl and Diamond Tiara.

Crown Princess Mary wore a Collette Dinnigan gown with a matching custom made cape by Birgit Hallstein. She also wore Prada pumps and Annikat cuffs as well as the Midnight Tiara.

Princess Marie wore a custom made Ole Yde gown with her Jil Sander pumps and a Tara Jarmon clutch. She also wore Christine Hvelplund jewels and her diamond floral tiara.

Princess Charlene wore a custom made brown Akris gown with a matching shawl and an Akris bag.

Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie wore a Elie Saab couture gown with a matching clutch and the Citrine and Pearl tiara.

The Countess of Wessex wore a custom made pink Bruce Oldfield gown wit her aquamarine tiara.

Crown Princess Marie-Chantal wore a Valentino gown with Jimmy Choo shoes and her Oscar de la Renta clutch. She also wore William Welstead earrings, her Cartier bracelet, and her fringe tiara.

Princess Tatiana wore a custom made Armani gown with her Giorgio Armani sandals and Giorgio Armani clutch. She wore the Antique Corsage Tiara.

Princess Theodora wore a beaded gown with an Anya Hindmarch clutch and blue Christian Louboutin sandals. She borrowed her sister Princess Alexia’s diamond tiara for this wedding.

The evening reception also took place at Drottningholm Palace. It was not televised but Princess Madeleine was pictured outside the palace wearing a Nina Ricci gown that belongs to her mother Queen Silvia.
