Regal Review: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's 2011 Canada Tour - Day 7
Day 7 of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s 2011 royal tour originally didn’t have any public events scheduled as it was supposed to be a rest day for the couple. However, they decided to visit Slave Lake, in Alberta, as the town had been affected by wildfires in May 2011.
During their visit, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met with emergency services personnel from the fire department, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and the medical response team at Northern Lakes College.
The couple also met with families who had been affected by the fires. They also took the time to greet the well-wishers who had been waiting for them. After the meeting, they departed Slave Lake to travel to Calgary where they’d spend the next day.
Catherine wore her Smythe navy blazer over a Ralph Lauren ruffled blouse and her J Brand jeans. She wore her Pied a Terre black wedges and her Linda Camm shell belt. She accessorized with her Kiki McDonough citrine earrings.
Stay tuned for more Regal Review posts this week as we continue looking back on this tour as well as a royal christening and a state visit!
