King Felipe and Queen Letizia visit Cieza and Murcia
Today, King Felipe and Queen Letizia continued their tour of Spain by visiting Cieza and Murcia in the autonomous community of Murcia.
In Cieza, King Felipe and Queen Letizia visited the fruit and vegetable cooperative Frutas La Carrichosa. They first attended a meeting to learn more about how the fruit and vegetable sector with the president of the Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives of Murcia (FECOAM), Santiago Martínez Gabarrón.
Then, King Felipe and Queen Letizia toured the cooperative's processing plant before heading to the field to visit the areas for collecting pears, peaches, and grapes.
Afterward, King Felipe and Queen Letizia went to Murcia where they visited the Murcian Institute for Biosanitary Research (IMIB). During the pandemic, the IMIB presented research projects, clinical trials, and translational projects to help the scientific and technological fight against the coronavirus.
King Felipe and Queen Letizia visited the cytometry laboratory and the central registry office for biobank samples.
Letizia wore her Zara draped linen top with her Sweet Matitos floral printed skirt and her Macarena pink wedges. She paired the outfit with her gold bamboo earrings and Karen Hallam ring.
