Today, Queen Letizia digitally took part in the World Food Forum which is currently taking place in Rome.

In her recorded speech during the opening ceremony, which you can watch below, Queen Letizia addressed young world leaders on the fight against hunger and malnutrition and the importance of maintaining healthy diets.

She said: “Now it is up to you, young people, to participate and contribute with your entrepreneurship and energy to the necessary transformation of food systems. According to the conclusions of last week's summit at the UN, we must guarantee healthy diets for all, we must ensure that all children have access to a healthy school menu by 2030 and women, indigenous peoples, small producers, and young people must, you must be at the center of decision making within food systems. They are easy to pronounce sentences, but very complex when it comes to being implemented.”
