Queen Maxima visits new Amphia Hospital in Breda

Today, Queen Maxima visited the new building of the Amphia Hospital in Breda. An opening ceremony was originally supposed to take place during the visit but it was canceled in line with the new restrictions against COVID-19 in The Netherlands.

Queen Maxima first toured the new building, including the ambulance hall, the trauma room, and the hematology department.

Afterward, Queen Maxima spoke with patients, doctors, and nurses to talk about the hospital and their experiences. In addition to regular treatment, Amphia hospital provides complex treatments in the field of cardiology, cardiac surgery, and oncology.

Queen Maxima then discussed the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the hospital with employees. They also talked about training healthcare staff and the 'There is only one Amphia' campaign.

Queen Maxima wore her Altuzarra dress with her Ba&Sh belt. She paired the outfit with her Gianvito Rossi boots and her Wandler bag.
