Queen Maxima attends 76th UN General Assembly events

Today, Queen Maxima spent her first day in New York City as she attends the 76th UN General Assembly in her role as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development.

She attended several meetings throughout the day focusing on women’s digital financial inclusion in Africa and the role of the private sector on financial health and economic inclusion.

Queen Maxima then met with Achim Steiner, the UN Development Programme’s administrator, to discuss the financial inclusion of underserved groups.

Queen Maxima also met with Sameh Shoukry, the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, to discuss Egypt’s efforts in financial inclusion and possible future cooperation.

Queen Maxima wore her Seren London jumpsuit with her Oscar de la Renta belt and repeated red wedges. I believe she might have also been wearing her Tom Ford glasses.
