They toured the facilities of the center and also met representatives of the German company Rocket Factory Augsburg which collaborates with the Esrange Space Center.

Afterward, the two couples attended an official lunch hosted by the governor of Norrbotten County in Kiruna's new town hall, Kristallen.

In the afternoon, King Carl-Gustaf, Queen Silvia, and the Presidential couple visited LKAB and the iron ore mine to learn more about LKAB's work to restructure the iron and steel industry for a sustainable future.

The visit officially ended at Kiruna Airport where King Carl-Gustaf and Queen Silvia bid farewell to the German President and First Lady.

Queen Silvia wore her Max Mara coat over a green Georg & Arend pantsuit and a white blouse. She paired the outfit with beige Massimo Dutti ankle boots, a white Picard bag, and her Cartier bracelet.
