Today, Crown Princess Victoria was named Swedish Woman of the Year 2021 by SWEA International in Stockholm. SWEA is a global network of Swedish and Swedish-speaking women living abroad.

Crown Princess Victoria received the award from her aunt Princess Christina who said: “It's very fun to be a part of handing over the Swedish Woman of the Year to you. I'm just an old aunt, but I look at the Crown Princess with joy every day and I feel great pride.”

SWEA chose Crown Princess Victoria as their Swedish Woman of the Year as she “stands for everything that SWEA identifies with. A contemporary modern Sweden with openness, inclusion, environmental thinking, and care. Qualities that we SWEOR take with us out into the world, in a global sisterhood across borders.”

Crown Princess Victoria’s award comes 20 years after her mother Queen Silvia was named Swedish Woman of the Year. In her speech, Crown Princess Victoria said: “I want to thank each of you for everything you do when it comes to promoting Swedish culture and the Swedish language. Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your community and thank you for everything you do for Sweden in the world.”

Crown Princess Victoria wore a new Valerie dress with her Polo Ralph Lauren white belt, By Malene Birger suede pumps, and Miu Miu white clutch. She paired the outfit with her Maria Nilsdotter earrings, Epoch watch, her Dulong pearl bracelet, and her usual stack of bracelets.
