Queen Maxima's visit to Tanzania - Day 1
This week, Queen Maxima is visiting Tanzania in her role as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance. She touched down in Tanzania on Monday evening.
On Tuesday, Queen Maxima first visited ACRE Africa where she met local smallholders who benefitted from ACRE’s Weather Index Insurance to mitigate the impact of extreme weather on their finances.
Afterward, Queen Maxima visited the Charlotte Hospital to learn more about PharmAcces’ MomCare initiative which offers free prenatal research to pregnant women.
Queen Maxima then visited Makumbusho Market to discuss digital finance services and their impact on entrepreneurship.
Queen Maxima was also received by Tanzania’s Director of Multilateral Cooperation.
For her arrival in Tanzania, Queen Maxima wore her Chloé blazer over a black outfit with her Banana Republic loafers and her Tom Ford glasses.
For her first full day in Tanzania, Queen Maxima wore a Vanessa Seward x Bloom Paris dress. She paired the dress with Carrie Forbes sandals (with thanks to ModeKoninginMaxima).
