Princess Astrid's Economic Mission to Australia - Day 5

On Thursday, Princess Astrid spent her fifth day in Australia attending several events with the Belgian delegation in Melbourne. She first took part in a WWI Commemorative event at the Shrine of Remembrance.

She then attended the “Unlocking the Potential of Precision Oncology through Nuclear Medicine - The Belgian-Australian connection” seminar at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. Princess Astrid also toured the cancer imaging facilities.

At the Town Hall, Princess Astrid met Sally Capp, Lord Mayor of Melbourne, and attended the “Towards safer, connected and resilient smart cities” seminar.

Princess Astrid and the Ministers also took part in a seminar on “The Blue Acceleration at the North Sea: Belgian Expertise and Collaborative Prowess as a Motor to Upcoming Industries at Sea” at the InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto.

Afterward, Princess Astrid visited the Alfred Medical Center to discuss the potential of data and innovation to improve the care for patients.
