Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel attend high-level meeting on antimicrobial resistance
On Monday, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel attended a high-level meeting on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) hosted on the occasion of the Swedish presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The meeting focused on the EU’s contribution to work at a global level to curb AMR and on sustainable access to existing and new antibiotics to enable effective treatment of infections.
In her opening speech, Crown Princess Victoria said: “ It is no coincidence that antimicrobial resistance is sometimes called the silent pandemic. And this silent pandemic is a major threat to us all. It is also a fact that resistant bacteria knows no borders. For that reason, a global response is needed, and the need to work together is crucial. We all have a role to play. […] I am confident that today’s high-level meeting will be a possibility to share knowledge, inspire continued interaction and push development – across borders, across areas of expertise, across all parts of our society. Take this opportunity; you are the ones that can take this to the next level and advance our joint response.”
Crown Princess Victoria wore her Zara suit with her Greta blouse. She paired the outfit with her Gianvito Rossi ankle boots and her By Malina clutch. She also wore hoop earrings, her Epoch watch, and her usual stack of bracelets.
