Danish State Visit to Norway - Day 1
On Tuesday, King Frederik and Queen Mary started a two-day State Visit to Norway. King Frederik and Queen Mary were also celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary.
The Royal Couple sailed into the Oslofjord with the Royal Ship Dannebrog. They were met by Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit, who accompanied King Frederik and Queen Mary to the quay at City Hall Square in the Royal Sloop.
King Frederik and Queen Mary were then officially welcomed by King Harald and Queen Sonja during a ceremony at Honnøbryggen.
The Norwegian Royal Couple, the Danish Royal Couple, and the Norwegian Crown Prince Couple then drove to the Royal Palace where gifts were exchanged.
King Frederik, Queen Mary, Crown Prince Haakon, and Crown Princess Mette-Marit went to Akershus Fortress where King Frederik laid a wreath at the National Monument.
King Frederik and Queen Mary then met with Storting President Masud Gharahkhani.
A private lunch was then held at the Bygdø royal estate with Princess Ingrid Alexandra in attendance. King Frederik is one of Princess Ingrid Alexandra’s godparents.
In the afternoon, King Frederik, Queen Mary, Crown Prince Haakon, and Crown Princess Mette-Marit visited the innovation district Oslo Science City and the micro- and nanotechnology laboratory, MiNaLab, to learn more about the Norwegian and Danish cooperation in research into technology and green transition.
In the evening, King Harald and Queen Sonja hosted a gala dinner for King Frederik and Queen Mary. Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, and Princess Astrid, Mrs Ferner, were also in attendance.
In the new photo of the Royal Couple, Queen Mary wore a Yeti jacket with her Gucci sunglasses.
For the official welcome ceremony, Queen Mary wore her Ralph Lauren jacket with her Erdem skirt, her Gianvito Rossi pumps, and her Max Mara bag. She also wore earrings gifted to her by Queen Margrethe.
Queen Sonja wore a red coat with her Peter Kaiser shoes and her Michael Kors sunglasses.
Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore her Fendi dress with her Aquazzura pumps and her Sarah’s Bag clutch. She also wore a Gert Holth hat and her Cartier ring.
At lunch, Princess Ingrid Alexandra wore a Reformation dress.
In the afternoon, Queen Mary wore a striped shirt with her Chloé trousers, Malone Souliers shoes, and her Anya Hindmarch bag. She also wore her Orit Elhanati earrings and her Halberstadt necklace.
Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore her The Fold blouse with Max Mara trousers, her Manolo Blahnik pumps, her Aspinal of London clutch, and her Cartier ring.
At the state dinner, Queen Mary wore a Birgit Hallstein gown which is a rework of the gown she wore at the wedding of Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden. She paired the gown with her Manolo Blahnik pumps and her J. Furmani clutch. For the first time, Queen Mary wore the Pearl Poiré Tiara.
Queen Sonja wore her Erik Mortensen gown with her Judith Leiber clutch and the Leuchtenberg Emerald Tiara.
Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore a Gunhild jacket with her Temperley London skirt and her Kotur clutch. She wore the Amethyst Tiara.
