Queen Letizia attends World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day event

On Tuesday, Queen Letizia attended an event marking World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day in Oviedo.

During the event, Queen Letizia delivered the 2024 Spanish Red Cross Gold Medals. The medals recognize the social and solidarity work of those who share and defend the same principles and values ​​as the Institution, and achieve a positive social impact.

In her speech, Queen Letizia said: “Today, on World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, we look back at those 160 years of history. And we also look forward. Because always, no matter what happens, wars, catastrophes, vulnerability, poverty, inequality, exclusion, lack of opportunities, we will always find a hand outstretched in this organization. Always. It is what they have more than a century and a half of experience in and the support of society. Thanks to the partners, thanks to the volunteers, thanks to the Red Cross professionals.”

Queen Letizia wore a Mango top and jacket with repeated trousers and her Vivobarefoot trainers. She also wore her Gold & Roses earrings and her Coreterno ring.
