King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima visit Lopikerwaard and Vijfheerenlanden Region

On Tuesday, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima paid a regional visit to Lopikerwaard and Vijfheerenlanden in the province of Utrecht.

They first visited Montfoort where they toured the Old Town Hall to learn more about the housing shortage in the municipality and the challenges of finding suitable and affordable housing.

Afterward, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima visited Lopik to attend a pole vaulting demonstration by three clubs from Lopik and Montfoort. They also visited Kaasboerderij Verweij, a three-generation family business located in Polsbroek.

The Royal Couple then visited Ameide to tour the workshop of Meesters IN, a construction company that specialises in the restoration, renovation, and maintenance of cultural heritage.

They concluded their visit in Vianen, where they joined children in lessons on being resilient to the temptations of 'fast money'. They also visited the annual horse market of Vianen.

Queen Maxima wore her Natan Couture outfit with her Natan pumps and her Chanel sunglasses.
