French State Visit to the United Kingdom
On Tuesday, President Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron started a three-day state visit to the United Kingdom. They were officially welcomed upon their arrival at RAF Northolt by the Prince and Princess of Wales.
The Presidential Couple and the Prince and Princess of Wales then went to Windsor Castle where they joined the King and Queen for the official welcome ceremony.
Then, a private lunch was hosted at Windsor Castle, after which the Royal Couple and the Presidential Couple viewed an exhibition in the Green Drawing Room of items relating to France. The Prince and Princess of Wales, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, attended, along with other members of the Royal Family.
In the evening, the King and Queen hosted a state banquet for President Macron and Brigitte Macron.
In his speech, King Charles said: “So it is with hope and with pride that I stand here, with all of you, to celebrate a truly modern partnership between our countries. Therefore, as we dine here in this ancient place, redolent with our shared history, allow me to propose a toast to France and to our new Entente. An Entente not only past and present, but for the future - and no longer just cordiale, but now amicale.”
The Princess of Wales first wore a Christian Dior outfit with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and her Mulberry bag. She paired the outfit with a Jess Collett bespoke hat. She also wore the Collingwood Diamond and pearl earrings and Queen Elizabeth II’s pearl necklace.
In the evening, the Princess of Wales wore a Sarah Burton for Givenchy gown with a matching clutch and seemingly her Jimmy Choo pumps. She also wore the Lover’s Knot Tiara.

The Duchess of Edinburgh first wore her Beulah London dress with her Prada pumps and her Sophie Habsburg bag. She paired the outfit with her Giulia Barela earrings as well as bracelets by Asprey London, Chopard, and Giulia Barela.
In the evening, the Duchess of Edinburgh wore a Suzannah white gown with her Emmy pumps. She wore her Aquamarine Tiara and her G. Collins and Sons diamond earrings.
