The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh visit Japan - Day 4

On Monday, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh spent their fourth day in Japan, attending engagements in Osaka.

The Duchess of Edinburgh first attended a United Nations Women’s Panel Discussion at the World Expo 2025. She delivered the opening remarks before attending the panel discussion on gender equality. She also visited the Women’s Pavilion, where she toured the exhibits and heard stories of female leaders, artists, and activists.

Afterward, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh toured the Japan Pavilion, which has the theme of ‘Between Lives’, and the UK Pavilion, where they joined the ‘Come Power the Future’ showcase, highlighting UK-Japan partnerships in clean energy.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh also attended a children’s tea party at the UK Pavilion, where they spent time with children and their families. They also watched a performance by the children of music they had created.

The Duchess of Edinburgh wore her Beulah London blue printed dress with her Penelope Chilvers wedges and her Sophie Habsburg bag. She paired the outfit with her Giulia Barela earrings, her Asprey London bracelet, and her Giulia Barela ring.
