Queen Letizia marks 2026 World Mental Health Day
On Friday, Queen Letizia attended the institutional event marking World Mental Health Day 2026, organized by the Spanish Mental Health Confederation. Under the slogan "Match with your mental health," the event focused on the emotional and psychosocial well-being of children and young people, as well as the need to strengthen prevention, awareness, and support resources for young people.
In her speech, Queen Letizia said: “Fortunately, it's more understandable now. Everyone understands that some people seek help from a psychologist, although sometimes it's difficult to find that help. This is both good and bad news, because while there's a greater awareness of the importance of managing emotions, when you really need to follow through with that help, it's not easy. That's something that Mental Health Spain has been addressing for a long time. So now two realities coexist: on the one hand, mental illnesses of varying severity, and on the other, significant emotional suffering. They also share a common need: the need for specialized care and sufficient, qualified professionals. And they face a challenge: ensuring that these appropriate treatments and specialized care are truly accessible to everyone.”
Queen Letizia wore her Carolina Herrera suit with her Ailanto shirt and her Sézane shoes. She paired the outfit with her Gold & Roses earrings and her Coreterno and Karen Hallam rings.

On Friday, the Prince and Princess of Wales were in Belfast to attend engagements connected to Prince William’s Homewards initiative.
