Queen Mathilde's Economic Mission to Turkey - Day 1
On Sunday, Queen Mathilde started a three-day economic mission to Turkey. She landed in Istanbul and was welcomed by Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, Turkey’s Minister of Family and Social Services.
Afterward, Queen Mathilde visited the Dolmabahçe Palace with the First Lady of Turkey, Emine Erdoğan.
Queen Mathilde then visited BAYKAR Technologies, a Turkish company specializing in the design and manufacture of drones. The company is a potential partner for the Belgian aerospace and defence sectors.
Queen Mathilde and the delegation then visited Ortaköy Square.
In the evening, Queen Mathilde attended an information session for the Belgian Delegation, followed by a welcome networking drink.
