Belgian State Visit to South Africa - Day 3
On Saturday, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde spent their third day in South Africa, attending events in Cape Town.
They first visited Afrigen Biologics which developed the first African vaccine against Covid-19, in collaboration with two Belgian companies, Univercells and eTheRNA.
Afterward, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde visited the University of the Western Cape to learn more about their collaboration with Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Universiteit Gent in the field of digital inclusion.
In the evening, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde visited the "When We See Us: A Century of Black Figuration in Painting" exhibition at the Zeitz Museum.
At the museum, they also met with Belgian entrepreneurs working in South Africa.
When landing in Cape Town, Queen Mathilde wore an Esmeralda Ammoun outfit with her Carolina Herrera earrings, red pumps, and her Giorgio Armani clutch.
Queen Mathilde then wore a Natan dress with her Natan pumps, and her Fabienne Delvigne hat. She also wore Carolina Herrera earrings and her Rolex watch.
In the evening, Queen Mathilde wore her Bernard Depoorter dress with her Rolex watch.
