Queen Mathilde's Economic Mission to Türkiye - Day 3
On Tuesday, Queen Mathilde spent her third day in Istanbul, Türkiye, where she is leading an economic mission with a Belgian delegation.
Queen Mathilde first attended a meeting with multilateral banks and Turkish financial institutions to discuss financing and cooperation opportunities. The meeting took place at the Central Bank of Türkiye, which was designed by the Belgian-Turkish architect Şefik Birkiye.
Afterward, Queen Mathilde visited the MEXT Technology Centre, a leading innovation hub supporting companies in their digital and industrial transformation.
Queen Mathilde also attended a seminar on cooperation in the biopharmaceutical sector, with a particular focus on rare diseases at Istanbul University.
Queen Mathilde then met with the Turkish Minister of Finance, Mehmet Şimşek, before attending a lunch with FEB and TÜSİAD, one of Türkiye’s leading business federations.
In the afternoon, Queen Mathilde concluded her visit by attending the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the collaboration between Belgian insurer Ageas and Sabancı Holding.
Queen Mathilde wore a Natan Couture outfit with her Mango pumps and a burgundy clutch. She also wore her Rolex watch.
