Japanese State Visit to Belgium - Day 1
On Tuesday, the Japanese Imperial Couple officially started their three-day state visit to Belgium. They were officially welcomed at the Royal Palace by King Philippe and Queen Mathilde.
Afterward, the Royal Couple and the Imperial Couple visited Brussels’ City Hall.
In the evening, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde hosted a gala dinner at Laeken Castle in honor of Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako.
Princess Elisabeth, Prince Gabriel, Prince Emmanuel, Princess Eléonore, Princess Astrid, and Prince Lorenz were also in attendance. It is the first time the four children of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde have attended a gala dinner during a State Visit.
Queen Mathilde first wore a Christian Dior dress (with thanks to GardeRobeRoyale) with her Christian Dior pumps and a Christian Dior clutch. She also wore her Rolex watch.
In the evening, Queen Mathilde wore a bespoke Armani Privé gown with a matching Armani Privé clutch.
Princess Elisabeth wore a navy gown with the Laurel Wreath Tiara.
Princess Eléonore wore a Safiyaa gown with a Bottega Veneta clutch. She wore a new tiara bought at an auction by her parents.
