Queen Letizia attends audience and Cervantes Institute meeting
Today, Queen Letizia presided over a working meeting with the directors of the Cervantes Institute in which the main actions in the international promotion of Spanish and its culture were summarized. The meeting took place in the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial in Madrid.
During the annual meeting, the strategy of the institution was analyzed and issues such as models of presence in the world (through more than 90 centers, classrooms and extensions), cultural diplomacy networks, the new website of the institute were addressed.
Earlier in the day, she joined King Felipe at Zarzuela Palace to receive swimmer Ona Carbonell Ballestero as well as Spanish coach Mayu Fujiki, and a representation of the Royal Spanish Swimming Federation heads by Vice Presidents Enric Bertrán and Juan José Dueñas, among other authorities. Ona Carbonell Ballestero joined the Spanish National Synchronized Swimming Team at the age of 14 and during the 2019 World Aquatics Championships held in South Korea, she won two silver medals and a bronze medal. She now has 23 World Medals.
Letizia wore her Michael Kors pink sheath dress with matching pink shoes and clutch by Magrit and her Gold & Roses Dagger earrings.
