Regal Review: 2015 Spanish State Visit to France - Day 2
On June 3rd, 2015, King Felipe and Queen Letizia spent their second day in Paris, France.
In the morning, they joined Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo outside City Hall to officially open the Jardin des Combattants de la Nueve. La Nueve was a company of 300 Spanish soldiers who fought as part of the French 2nd Armoured Division during World War II. After the ceremony at City Hall, they attended a reception at the French Senate.
In the afternoon, King Felipe and Queen Letizia met with French Prime Minister Manuel Valls and his wife. Afterward, King Felipe addressed in French the National Assembly.
In the evening, the royal couple met with the Director-General of UNESCO Irina Bokova before attending a reception for Spanish people living in France.
In the morning, Letizia wore a white Felipe Varela skirt suit with a Felipe Varela belt. She accessorized with her Uterque gold pumps, Adolfo Dominguez clutch, and gold hoop earrings.
For the afternoon engagements, Letizia wore a new red Nina Ricci outfit with a Nina Ricci printed coat. She wore her Nina Ricci clutch, Prada black pumps, and Aldao Joyeros earrings.
In the evening, Letizia wore her Hugo Boss ‘Dimaye’ sheath dress with a black Felipe Varela clutch, modified black Magrit sandals and her De Grisogono earrings.
