Regal Review: 2015 Spanish State Visit to Mexico - Days 2 & 3
Five years ago, King Felipe and Queen Letizia made their first state visit to Mexico as monarchs.
Queen Letizia started the second day of the state visit by a solo engagement as she attended a congress of the Iberoamerican Alliance for Rare Diseases as honorary president of the Spanish Federation For Rare Diseases.
Afterward, King Felipe and Queen Letizia joined the President of Mexico and the First Lady to attend the opening of the Mexico-Spain Business Meeting.
After the meeting, King Felipe and Queen Letizia visited the Mexican Senate where King Felipe made a speech. The royal couple then had lunch at the Embassy of Spain in Mexico.
In the afternoon, King Felipe and Queen Letizia attended the signing of the implementation of the International Service Assessment of the Spanish Language.
For the morning events, Letizia wore her Nina Ricci red sleeveless skirt suit with her printed Nina Ricci coat. She paired the outfit with a Nina Ricci black clutch, Prada black pumps, and Aldao Joyeros earrings.
For the afternoon event, Letizia wore a Felipe Varela burgundy blouse with a Felipe Varela white printed skirt. She also wore Magrit burgundy sandals, a Uterque floral appliqué clutch, and TOUS earrings.
The state visit ended on July 1st, 2015, as King Felipe and Queen Letizia traveled to Zacatecas with the Mexican President and the First Lady.
There, they visited the Colonial Museum of Guadalupe and the Museum of Abstract Art "Manuel Felguérez" to close the symposium "Past, present and future of relations between Mexico and Spain."
King Felipe and Queen Letizia also visited the photo exhibition “More Mexico to the World” before attending a reception with the Spanish community residing in the states of Zacatecas, Jalisco, and Aguascalientes.
Letizia wore a new Uterque coat over a Carolina Herrera blouse and white wide-leg trousers. She wore Magrit sandals and her TOUS earrings.
