Queen Letizia celebrates the start of the 2020/2021 school year

Today, Queen Letizia traveled to the towns of Milagro and San Adrian, in Navarra, to check in situ some of the measures adopted against Covid-19 as the 2020/2021 school year starts.

In Milagro, Queen Letizia visited the CPEIP “Nuestra Señora del Patrocinio”. Letizia toured the facilities and met some of the students during recess. The Queen also learned about the methods used to make sure the security measures are respected by the youngest students.

In San Adrian, Queen Letizia visited the IES "Ega". During her tour of the facilities, Queen Letizia stopped at the auditorium which was transformed into a classroom so that 1st-year high school students can receive classes with social distancing. She also visited the Special Education classroom where students with intellectual disabilities attend classes.

To conclude her visit, Queen Letizia attended a meeting with the educational community in the center's library, to learn how the adaptation was made possible, what the biggest challenges have been, and the main problems that have had to be solved for the school year to start with relative normality.

Queen Letizia wore her sleeveless grey plaid top by Zara with black cropped trousers and her black Castaner wedges. She also wore her gold bamboo earrings and her Karen Hallam ring.
