The Duchess of Cambridge marks International Day of the Midwife

The Duchess of Cambridge interviewed midwife Harriet Nayiga for this month’s edition of Nursing Times to mark International Day of the Midwife and the completion of the Nursing Now campaign. The Duchess of Cambridge is the patron of Nursing Now and the interview took place last March.

Harriet Nayiga is a midwife from Uganda and she is the founder of Midwife-led Community Transformation which is “a charity bridging the gap between midwives and communities in Uganda by focusing on adolescent sexual health.” MILCOT also took part in the Nursing Now’s Nightingale Challenge.
