The Duchess of Cambridge and First Lady Dr Jill Biden visit primary school in Hayle
This afternoon, the Duchess of Cambridge joined Dr. Jill Biden, the First Lady of the USA, for an event focusing on early childhood ahead of the G7 summit hosted in Cornwall.
The Duchess of Cambridge and the First Lady visited Connor Downs Academy where they met with children from the school’s Reception’s Class. The school “places a high priority on children’s mental health as well as encouraging positive relationships between children and adults”. The Duchess of Cambridge and Dr. Biden also joined the children as they fed their rescue bunnies and chicken.
Afterward, the Duchess of Cambridge and Dr. Biden attended a roundtable discussion focusing on the importance of early years development with experts from the UK and the USA in the field.
The Duchess and the First Lady also had a private meeting together which Kensington Palace shared a photo of.
