Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit visit the Rescue Society

Today, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit visited the Rescue Society in Oslo as they prepare for the summer. The Rescue Society had to increase its preparation this year as a record number of people chose to spend their summer holidays on boats in Norwegian waters.

As a record number of people received help from the Rescue Society last year, 900 volunteer operational crews and 200 permanent employees on the lifeboats - spread over 52 rescue stations along the entire Norwegian coast - are prepared for this summer.

During their visit, the Crown Prince couple crews of the permanently manned RS "Klaveness Marine" and the voluntarily manned RS "Princess Ragnhild". The Crown Prince and Crown Princess were also briefed on the Rescue Society's new support vessel.

Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore a repeated white dress and a blue cardigan. She paired the outfit with her Christian Louboutin ballet flats and a new clutch by Maria La Rosa. She also wore her Saint Laurent sunglasses.
