Swedish Royal Family celebrates National Day!
Today, June 6th, is Sweden's National Day! Because of the pandemic, the Royal Family couldn’t celebrate as usual but they still had several events to mark the day and celebrate with Swedes!
The court released the traditional family photos of Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, and their children Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar which were taken at Haga Slott.
The court also released a video of the family decorating their home to mark the special day and wishing a happy national day to the Swedes.
In the evening, King Carl-Gustaf and Queen Silvia took part in the celebrations at the Royal Palace where King Carl-Gustaf made a speech.
Meanwhile, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel attended the celebrations in Skansen where Crown Princess Victoria made a speech and handed out flags to selected recipients from various societies, associations and organizations.
To conclude the day, King Carl-Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel attended the Army Music Corps' performance of the Swedish Army's tattoo at the Royal Palace.
Prince Carl-Philip and Princess Sofia also wished a happy national day to Swedes on their Instagram account. Because of the current restrictions in Sweden, the couple can’t take part in the official events with the rest of the royal family.
Finally, Princess Madeleine posted a new photo of her three children celebrating on her Instagram account. The family is currently living in Florida and couldn’t travel back to Sweden because of travel restrictions. It looks like Princess Adrienne wore a dress that belonged to Princess Estelle.
Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Estelle both wore their national costume for the day of celebrations. Princess Estelle wore Pom d’Api shoes.
Princess Sofia wore a new dress by Swedish brand Ajlajk.
