King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia visit Kalmar County
Today, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia started a series of visits to the Swedish counties in the County of Kalmar. The Crown Princess couple and Prince Carl-Philip will also take part in those visits this fall in order to learn more about how these counties handled the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Royal couple first visited Solhem, a special residence in Mönsterås, to hear more about the county’s vaccination centers as well as how Solhem worked during the pandemic. They also talked to some of the residents and children from the preschool.
Afterward, King Carl-Gustaf and Queen Silvia visited Restaurant Badholmen to learn more about how businesses in the county handled the pandemic. At Arena Oskarshamn, the Royal couple met with staff and players of IK Oskarshamn to learn about how the restrictions impacted their training.
The visit to Kalmar County ended in Kalmar Cathedral where the Royal couple listened to a choir singing and lit candles.
Queen Silvia wore her Camilla Thulin coat over a white dress with burgundy accessories. She also wore her Cartier bracelet.
