Finnish State Visit to The Netherlands - Day 1
On Thursday, the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, and the First Lady, Suzanne Innes-Stubb, started a two-day State Visit to the Netherlands. The Presidential Couple was officially welcomed by King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima on Dam Square in Amsterdam.
Afterward, the Presidential Couple and the Royal Couple visited the Amsterdam Drone Lab to hear about the use of drones for various civilian purposes, with relevance to the energy and defense sectors. They also received information from the Ministry of Defence on various educational and training opportunities.
In the evening, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima hosted a gala dinner for the Presidential Couple at the Royal Palace. Princess Catharina-Amalia was also in attendance.
In his speech, King Willem-Alexander said: “The rule of law, democracy and freedom form the foundations of our society. We must cherish, protect and defend them. Because of your geographical location and your history, you know better than anyone what is at stake. Let me be clear: you are not alone. You will find us standing by your side, along with our partners in the European Union and NATO. We look forward to broadening and deepening our cooperation with you in the areas of resilience, defence and innovation.”
Queen Maxima wore a Natan Couture outfit with her Natan pumps and her Natan clutch. She paired the outfit with a Philip Treacy hat and her Patek Philippe watch. Later in the day, she also wore her Max Mara coat.
In the evening, Queen Maxima wore her Claes Iversen red gown. She also wore the Württemberg Ornate Pearl Tiara.
Princess Catharina-Amalia wore a Jenny Packham gown. She also wore the Diamond Bandeau Tiara.
