Swedish Royal Family attends memorial ceremonies for Holocaust victims

On Tuesday, the Swedish Royal Couple and Crown Princess Victoria attended memorial ceremonies in Stockholm for Holocaust victims to mark the International Day in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust.

King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia attended a memorial service for the victims of the Holocaust at the Great Synagogue of Stockholm. At the end of the ceremony, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia each laid a stone at the memorial monument. In Jewish tradition, it is customary to lay down stones, which, unlike flowers, are eternal. The stones that the Royal Couple laid were taken from Drottningholm.

Crown Princess Victoria attended the memorial ceremony, arranged by the Forum for Living History, in Eric Ericssonhallen on Skeppsholmen in Stockholm. During the ceremony, the Swedish Prime Minister made a speech and guests had the opportunity to hear testimonies from survivors.

Queen Silvia wore a repeated suit with her Rieker trainers and her Mulberry bag.

Crown Princess Victoria wore an Andiata suit with her Vesna W blouse. She paired the outfit with her af Klingberg ankle boots and her Malababa bag. She also wore her Ebba Brahe earrings.
