Danish State Visit to Australia - Day 5
On Wednesday, King Frederik and Queen Mary spent their fifth day in Australia, attending engagements in Melbourne.
They first took part in the Royal Business Walk with companies from the Green Buildings and Renewable Energy delegations and their Australian partner before opening the business conference “Partnering for a Green, Secure, and Sustainable Tomorrow”.
King Frederik and Queen Mary then visited the Melbourne Children's Campus to hear more about a Danish-Australian research collaboration within stem cell innovation with participation from Aarhus University.
In the afternoon, King Frederik and Queen Mary visited Headspace South Melbourne to learn more about their work to create a safe environment for young people. They spent time with young users of the center.
The Royal Couple then officially opened an exhibition of works by the Danish-Australian artist duo Rhoda Ting & Mikkel Bojesen.
In the evening, King Frederik and Queen Mary hosted a reception at the Royal Botanical Garden to thank their Australian hosts for their hospitality. In her speech, Queen Mary said: “It touches me deeply that my family and I are always welcomed with such warmth and interest and, that we continue to have a place in Australian’s hearts and minds. To be remembered is not something to be taken for granted. And, it is an endearing Australian trait that when an Australian does well abroad, you take pride in the fact that they are one of your own.”
Queen Mary first wore her Jesper Høvring blouse with her Carla Zampatti skirt, her Gianvito Rossi pumps, and her Anya Hindmarch bag. She paired the outfit with her Rebekka Notkin earrings and necklace.
In the afternoon, Queen Mary wore a repeated blazer with her Harris Wharf London top, beige trousers, and her Gianvito Rossi pumps. She also wore her Giorgio Armani sunglasses, her Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings, her Cartier watch, bracelets by Dulong Fine Jewelry and Rebekka Notkin, and her Ole Lynggaard ring.
In the evening, Queen Mary wore her Zimmermann dress with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and her Serpui clutch.
