Crown Princess Victoria Celebrates 49th Birthday
Today, Crown Princess Victoria celebrated her 49th birthday at Solliden Palace in Öland.
The day began with a private meeting with the Victoria Prize winner at the Crown Princess Couple’s summer residence. Afterward, Crown Princess Victoria, accompanied by Prince Daniel, Princess Estelle, Prince Oscar, King Carl XVI Gustaf, and Queen Silvia, emerged from Solliden Palace to greet the well-wishers who had gathered to sing "Ja Må Han Leva". This tradition has been observed annually since the Crown Princess’s first birthday.
The Crown Princess and her family then took a horse-drawn carriage ride through the city of Borgholm to Borgholm Castle, where the festivities continued. They attended the Victoria Concert, where the Crown Princess presented the Victoria Prize to this year’s winner, cross-country skier Frida Karlsson. Crown Princess Victoria was joined at the concert by her brother, Prince Carl Philip, and his wife, Princess Sofia, as well as her sister, Princess Madeleine, and her husband, Christopher O’Neill.
Crown Princess Victoria wore a maxi dress by Norwegian brand ByTiMo paired with sandals, Maria Nilsdotter earrings, and Engelbert Necklace, and her Miu Miu Bag.
Princess Estelle wore a dress from ByTiMo with dainty earrings and ballet flats.
Queen Silvia wore a matching tweed set from the Parisian label Weill.
Princess Sofia wore a blush pink printed dress from Andiata with her Castaner sandals.
Princess Madeleine wore a new linen dress from Paul & Joe with her Gianvito Rossi sandals.
